Pro · sample report
A real report, for a real publication. Nothing mocked.
This is what a Pro report looks like — generated 2026-08-31 for readinglist.school, one of our own publications (a school reading-list reference that earns affiliate revenue). Every number below is from a named instrument on a named date. Your report has the same shape, for your site.
1 · The AI-citation headline.
Source: Bing Webmaster Tools “AI Performance” (Microsoft Copilots & partners — the index ChatGPT browses with), 3-month window ending Aug 29, 2026.
40,400
AI citations in 3 months across 221 distinct grounding queries.
~50 → ~2,000+
Citations per day, June vs. late August — a 40× ramp inside one quarter (peak day: 2,500).
285
Distinct pages cited on the peak day (Aug 27) — the citations spread across the catalog, not one lucky URL.
2 · The queries AI answers with this site.
Citation share is the number that matters: on “oprah reading list,” AI answers cite this site in 38% of sampled groundings — that is ownership of an answer, not a mention. Anything above ~30% is a moat; anything big with a low share is the growth list.
| Grounding query | Citations (3 mo) | Citation share |
|---|---|---|
| 9th grade reading list | 504 | 14.93% |
| ar reading level | 388 | 32.88% |
| 5th grade reading list | 328 | 19.68% |
| ib prescribed reading list | 299 | 33.33% |
| 10th grade reading list | 253 | 35.38% |
| 8th grade books | 222 | 20.48% |
| good morning america book club list | 217 | 22.89% |
| school reading list | 214 | 15.98% |
| teaching children to read | 178 | 35.46% |
| oprah reading list | 160 | 38.19% |

3 · What the same quarter did for traffic and money pages.
Source: Google Search Console, same 3-month window.
7,110 clicks · 362,000 impressions · average position 9.1. The pages earning those clicks are the same pages the AI queries above resolve to — state and grade reading-list pages, which are exactly this site's affiliate money pages:
| Page | Clicks (3 mo) | Impressions |
|---|---|---|
| /decade/2000s | 242 | 4,640 |
| /state/north-carolina | 189 | 2,216 |
| /state/california | 113 | 3,014 |
| /state/georgia | 89 | 1,156 |
| /state/texas | 75 | 1,720 |
| /curriculum/ib-dp-english-literature | 68 | 2,799 |
Honest caveat, stated in every report: citation→click attribution is directional, not one-to-one — no tool can trace an individual AI answer to an individual visit. What we line up is which cited queries map to which earning pages, and which cited pages are NOT earning yet (that gap is next week's work).
4 · The one fix for next week.
From this site's own readiness audit (scored 87/100 on our free checker, 2026-08-31): the homepage's first paragraph is 5,339 characters — far past the ~600-character window AI engines extract cleanly. One edit — open with a two-sentence, quote-ready answer — makes the most-cited entry page easier to quote verbatim. Second and third: add datePublished/<time> freshness markup, and a second sameAs profile on the operator entity.
Subscriber reports also include per-query citation checks from citation-bearing APIs (Perplexity, Gemini grounding, OpenAI web search), run for your domain each week.
